Gautier PAULIN on the Carta Rallye

Former motocross rider Gautier Paulin is taking on a new challenge! In April 2025, he will compete in the Carta Rallye in Morocco, riding a Yamaha Ténéré 700 GYTR. This will be his first motorcycle rally-raid, a major milestone that he will tackle alongside us: Team Officiel Yamaha Ténéré Rally.

A rally-raid is not something you can improvise! To prepare for roadbook navigation, Gautier Paulin attended a training session at our Ténéré Center in Aveyron with Loïc Minaudier, a navigation expert, to master the essential fundamentals of rally-raid.

Carta rally 2025: A 2,000 km challenge across Morocco

The Carta Rally 2025 represents 2,000 km of adventure, spread over 7 days through some of Morocco’s most beautiful landscapes: dunes, ergs, tracks and roads will be on the program.

We’ll have the honor of accompanying several renowned riders on this edition of the Carta Rally:

Racing Category

Alessandro Botturi – Official Yamaha rider, multiple rally winner.
Gautier Paulin – Former motocross champion, taking on rally-raid.
Kevin Gallas – 2018 Junior SuperEnduro World Champion, Hard Enduro specialist.

Bertrand Gavard- Passionate rider with two Dakar participations, he fulfilled his dream by completing the 2023 edition.

Nicolas Charlier – Belgian rider, experienced in rally-raid with 2 participations in the Africa Eco Race and TransAnatolia.
Yann Duprey – Off-road adventure guide and instructor for 15 years, passionate about adventure.
Frédéric Murat – First time in the Racing category after the 2024 Transanatolia in the Raid category.
Jérôme Clastre – Second participation with us, this time in the Racing category.

An exceptional mentor: Stéphane Peterhansel

Our Raid category riders will have the privilege of being accompanied by Stéphane Peterhansel, aka “Monsieur Dakar”. As on the Africa Eco Race, he will share his expertise and advice for a unique experience in the heart of the desert, without pressure, in a spirit of pure adventure.

🕗 08:00 – 14:00: Administrative and technical checks
🕖 19:00: Pilot briefing


📏 Total distance: 2,000 km
📏 Special stage distance: 1,750 km

Roadbook navigation: paper or digital?

For this edition of the Carta Rallye 2025, we have chosen to equip our drivers with F2R Y1000 tablets, replacing the traditional paper roadbooks. These tablets will display the itineraries provided by the organization via the Terrapirata application, guaranteeing smoother, more precise navigation throughout the 2,000 km race.

The 2025 Carta Rally promises to be an epic adventure, and we can’t wait to share this experience with you alongside our riders. Stay tuned to follow this epic journey in the heart of the desert!
