TENERE 700 RAID TRAINING

This program offers a combination of theory classes and practical experience to enable participants to acquire the basic skills to take part in a rally in the Raid* category.

OFFER DETAILS

A two-day training course in Aveyron, southern France. Loïc Minaudier welcomes you to his home, in the heart of an area renowned for its varied terrain and tracks particularly well-suited to learning rallying.

THE TEAM

Marc Bourgeois : Manager of the Yamaha Ténéré Rally Team and head of the Ténéré Spirit Expérience program, former Enduro World Champion

Loïc Minaudier: High-level Enduro and Rally rider, navigation expert and co-driver of Mathieu Serradori.

* The Raid category has been designed to enable amateur riders to take part in a rally without the pressure of a stopwatch or the difficulty of a paper roadbook, on routes that are suitable for all levels of rider.

The course

DAY 1 – Fundamentals

Morning
Welcome and introduction to the course over coffee.
Introduction to the roadbook and navigation (indoors).
Presentation of a Yamaha Ténéré motorcycle and equipment for a rally.
Discovering navigation instruments

Afternoon
Guided route for discovery and roadbook initiation

DAY 2 – Exploration, navigation and orientation

Coffee and warm-up
First-day skills review

Afternoon
200 km loop with riding and off-road navigation
Validation of skills for participation in a first Rally
Debriefing of the entire course

Prerequisites:

Large-displacement motorcycle license
Off-road experience

Equipment required:
Motorcycle clothing: Trousers / Jersey
Equipment: Helmet / Boots / Knee pads / Stone guard / Airbag vest / Camelback
For personal bikes: Navigation equipment Roadbook / Odometer / Heading / Off-road tires

TENERE 700 DESERT TRAINING

Jordi is offering a course to prepare you to take part in a Rally-Raid in the Raid category. You’ll learn the basics of interpreting a road book, using a GPS and navigating with headings, all while driving over a variety of terrain, including sand and dunes.

OFFER DETAILS

3 days all-inclusive motorbike tour of the Moroccan desert

Accommodation:
4 nights at the Hotel Xaluca (Arfoud) on a full-board basis, 60 km from Errachidia airport.

Price: €1,750 per person

Day 1

Theory
