A MYTHICAL ADVENTURE IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF PARIS-DAKAR
The Africa Eco Race is a rally-raid which carries on the historic legacy of the famous Paris-Dakar rally. Starting in Tangier, the drivers embark on a 6,000 km journey to Dakar. The climax of this adventure is a mythical final stage: a mass start on the beach of Lac Rose.
AN EXCEPTIONAL RALLY-RAID
The program includes approximately 6,000 km spread over 12 stages, including a rest day. Daily distances range from 300 to 750 km, combining special stages and liaison sections.

TheAfrica Eco Race is the most legendary rally-raid outside the W2RC championship. A true return to the roots of the Paris-Dakar, it features over 6,000 km and 12 stages, making it the biggest rally-raid in Africa.
Both intense and demanding, it’s a unique challenge for drivers and teams alike. Two weeks of racing and logistics require meticulous preparation, both physical and mechanical.
As theofficial Yamaha Ténéré Rally Team, the Africa Eco Race is our major annual event. Our aim is to take as many Yamaha Ténéré as possible to Dakar and cross the legendary finish line.
We support both :
drivers in the Racing category, who want to push their limits and measure themselves against the best,
but also adventurers in the Raid category, in a format more focused on adventure and travel, with full all-inclusive assistance.
CHOOSE YOUR CATEGORY
The Raid category makes adventure accessible to all. Unlike the Racing category, there are no stopwatches or rankings, so there’s no pressure. Navigation is simplified, with a choice of roadbook or GPX tracks.
The route is also tailored to avoid the most technical sections, while still offering an authentic experience. It’s the perfect opportunity to experience a rally-raid adventure with the Yamaha Ténéré Rally Team, with all the benefits: logistics, assistance, management, and much more.
Terrain: roads, rolling or slightly sandy tracks and, depending on riding ability, dunes and sand.

The Racing category is the classic category in rally-raid, designed for riders who want to challenge themselves.
Navigation is done exclusively with a roadbook, and thorough preparation is recommended to take on this challenge and reach the finish line.
To assist you in your preparation, the Ténéré Centers offer specialized training, whether it’s to refine your roadbook navigation or to improve your riding skills in the desert.
