The TENERE SPIRIT EXPERIENCE is a programme dedicated to the experience of the legendary Yamaha Ténéré 700. It consists of a set of services (the ASSISTANCE PACK) offered to motorbike riders of all levels in the context of internationally renowned Rally-Raids.
The objectives
- Experience the adventure of Rally-Raid in an unforgettable way by sharing the daily life of the official riders and the entire Ténéré Yamaha Rally team.
- Discover or rediscover the incomparable pleasure of riding a Ténéré 700 in its preferred environment.
- Benefit from exceptional logistical, technical, administrative and management services throughout the event.
Anyone can take part in a rally-raid with the Ténéré Spirit Experience, provided they meet a few simple criteria: they must be over 18 and have a valid driving licence.
You don’t need to be a professional driver or have any previous rally experience!
If you’re just starting out, the Raid category is ideal: it’s designed for those looking for an experience based on adventure and discovery rather than pure competition.
For Yamaha Ténéré 700 owners, it’s obviously the perfect opportunity. And if you don’t own one: it’s also possible to hire one from our team. The aim is to make this experience accessible to all adventure enthusiasts!
It all depends on your objectives and your level of experience:
Racing category: If you’re looking for a competitive and technical experience, the Racing category is for you. You’ll be navigating exclusively by roadbook, which demands precision and mastery. It’s an intense adventure, ideal for those who want to measure themselves against the classic challenges of rally-raid.
Raid category: If you’re more interested in discovery and adventure, the Raid category is perfect. Designed for amateurs who want to explore the world of rally-raid without the pressure of a stopwatch, it offers a freer, more accessible experience. You can drive at your own pace and enjoy the scenery to the full. For navigation, you can choose between GPX tracks or the roadbook, depending on your preferences and level of expertise. Whatever category you choose, the aim is to enjoy a unique adventure tailored to your desires and skills.
You have the option to participate with your own Ténéré 700 or rent a bike directly from our team. Here are the models available for rent:
TÉNÉRÉ RACING 700
This is the official bike of the Yamaha Rally Team, used by our professional riders. An exceptional machine designed for performance, equipped with an extended swingarm, aluminium rear triangle and racing parts. The bike is designed and engineered specifically for competition, with features optimised to deliver exceptional performance on the most demanding terrain. Ideal for riders looking for thrills and results.
TÉNÉRÉ 700 GYTR
This model is equipped with GYTR kits, optimising its performance, handling and rallying capabilities. A true competition bike with a more powerful engine and a chassis optimised for real rallying ability.

For the Africa Eco Race, all the bikes are fitted with additional fuel tanks, guaranteeing the minimum range required by the organisers.
The choice is yours: maintain and prepare your bike yourself, or opt for the assistance of our expert team.
Registration & Engagement
By filling in the pre-registration form here, you will be contacted by a member of our team. They will answer any questions you may have and guide you through the registration process.
Our team is here to help you every step of the way. Once your registration has been validated, we will tell you exactly what formalities need to be completed depending on your category, for example for the :
- Racing category: You must hold a sports licence.
- Raid category: No licence is required for this category.
We take the time to explain each stage and answer all your questions, so that you’re fully prepared for this adventure.
The following costs are not included in our assistance package:
- Transport for the driver to the start of the rally.
- Additional hotel nights before the start of the rally and after the end of the event.
- The fuel used during the race.
- Spare parts for your vehicle.
- A compulsory licence for participants in the Racing category.
You are considered an integral part of the team, benefiting from the expertise of our staff, our top drivers and our ambassadors. Immersion offers administrative, logistical and mechanical facilities, as well as optimised management, for a unique experience, without any mental burden.
Preparation & Équipment
Taking part in a rally-raid, whether in the Raid or Racing category, requires preparation. So it’s advisable to be in good physical condition to maximise your chances of succeeding in this adventure and getting the most out of it.
If you want to train to improve your riding skills, which is recommended, you can do so at one of the Ténéré Centres (see the list of approved centres here).
To learn how to navigate using a road-book, you can take a course at one of the Ténéré Centres in Aveyron or Morocco.
When you register, the team will guide you through the preparations for your rally, in particular the rider’s to-do list. If you’re bringing your own bike, you’ll receive expert advice on how to equip it.
To take part in a rally-raid, you’ll need suitable navigation equipment.
- GPX track navigation:
If you choose the Raid category and opt for GPX track navigation, you will be using a GPS to find your way around. - Roadbook navigation:For roadbook navigation, whether in the Raid or Racing category, you will use a roadbook scroller and a tripmaster.
Before the rally, our team will take care of equipping your bike with all the necessary navigation equipment.
You will also be fitted with the safety equipment provided by the rally organisers, such as a geolocation system. This will enable you to contact the organisers quickly in the event of a medical or technical problem.
Roadbook hire for the Racing category and GPS hire for the Raid category are included in the assistance pack, as is the safety equipment.

We recommend the Alpinestars model for its off-road performance. Rental and sale are possible depending on our stock. Please allow at least one and a half months for delivery. Contact us by e-mail here.

Logistics & Services
Our team will take care of transporting your bike to the rally starting point. All you have to do is drop your bike off at our workshop, and we’ll take care of the rest.
The TSE will set a delivery date by e-mail, at least one month before departure. Three options are available:
- Delivery by your own means.
- Use of our logistics partner for collection from your dealer in France.
- Special quotation for countries outside France.
Our team provides full technical and logistical support. In the raid category, you benefit from the same logistics as in racing, with 5 to 7 vehicles and 10 to 20 people per event, excluding drivers.
Yes, you have access to spare parts for routine maintenance or in the event of damage, to guarantee your experience all the way to the finish line.
No, the TSE pack includes a tent, camp bed and sleeping bag. You can bring your own extra equipment if you wish.
Yes, we offer satellite phone rental options with SIM card activation for better responsiveness. These options will be explained to you when you register.
As a general rule, you can take your airbag waistcoat and 3-4 gas cartridges in the hold, separate from the waistcoat. Contact your airline in advance, however, as the conditions may vary from one airline to another.
