Turkey is the land of impressive mountains and green plateaus, inland deserts, salt lakes and arid landscapes of Eastern Anatolia. All this is dominated by the peaks of extinct volcanoes and framed by fertile coastal landscapes and alluvial areas, not to mention the Mediterranean sunshine that attracts many vacationers to the country. The Transanatolia is an exciting crossing of Anatolia (also called Asia Minor), from the Black Sea to the Aegean Sea.
The event
Level A Raid : Beginner ready to ride 6 or 7 hours in the day
Daily mileage : 160 to 350 km
Land: 98% Gravel, 2% other
Special features : Ranking in the Raid category based on the best navigation
The 13th edition of the Transanatolia Rally, which is growing in popularity every year, starts in the famous city of Samsun on the Black Sea in northern Turkey and ends in Izmir, the pearl of the Aegean Sea.
Each day, the rally organization moves from east to west, crossing the landscape of the Anatolian steppe in eight stages.
The participants of the Raid category navigate autonomously with a GPS, the Stella, but still without timing. For this, precision is essential. Each participant receives points for following the course exactly and the addition of these points determines a ranking and a winner at the end.
Accompanying persons are also taken into account: every day, it is possible to follow the race live on certain points. Either with his own vehicle or in one of the organization’s assistance vehicles. An unforgettable experience for your loved ones. In the evening, everyone meets at the bivouac, where the team is at your disposal, ready to maintain your Ténéré and to share the experience with you.
